Hands down, this is my favorite unagi (grilled eel) restaurant in Tokyo. Furthermore, unagi is probably my favorite Japanese food. This time, I visited their Azabu Juban location which is small and cozy. It doesn't have quite the same ambiance as their Shibuya location, but the food is just as good. If you love unagi like me, you'll definitely want to get the "double decker" (two layers of eel!). You will be stuffed, but unbelievably happy. If you're new to unagi, I recommend the regular unaju. None of these dishes are cheap and will run you $45-70/person at lunchtime. It's totally worth it, though, and I go to this place every time I visit Tokyo.
